'Pissing Women' series, 1996, courtesy of emily Tsingou Gallery, London
Sophy Rickett

The London based artist (born 1970 in London) shows in this series women with very feminine clothes and styling who stand in the public space and piss.
The women seem to be successful business women by wearing elegant, sexy costumes and high heels. This appearance is in contrary to their masculine action and body attitude.

These photographs question the sexual difference in a simple and witty manner: the portrayed women appropriate one of the “last” privileges of men and expose the envy of the penis as cultural product.
